Shelf life of fresh meat is affected by common supermarket lighting
This study demonstrated that Promolux balanced spectrum lighting by Market Group Ventures in Canada significantly extended meat display life from about 10 to 20 days. Thus, lighting may increase lipid oxidation via photo-oxidation.
