Shefik Celebrates 5-Year Anniversary of His Syndicated Radio Show

NEW YORK — As of July 4, 2021, it was five years ago that media personality Shefik launched his nationally syndicated, terrestrial radio show, "Shefik presents Invocation" (https://invocation.co). The show has amassed over 800,000 enlightened listeners monthly, and every month the audience increases.

Legendary recording artists and notable personalities, such as His Royal Highness Prince Gharios El Chemor of Ghassan Al-Nu'Man VIII; His Highness Dr. Prince Mario-Max Schaumburg-Lippe of Germany; legendary songstress Sarah Dash of Labelle; 2-time Grammy Award nominee Freddie Jackson; 13-time Latin Grammy Award winner Alvaro Alencar; and Grammy Award nominee Kathy Sledge (Founding Member, Sister Sledge) have all appeared on "Shefik presents Invocation".

"Shefik presents Invocation" is a mesmerizing and thought-provoking journey through musical discovery and appreciation that spans the decades. Content includes video footage, and its audio is severed and packaged as a conceptual radio show, as well as a podcast. Each episode highlights one relatable focal point, encompassing a unique thematic concept that invigorates the audience with creative impact. The content is oftentimes aligned with Shefik's various philanthropic endeavors and alliances with non-profit companies, community-based organizations, and mission-driven entities (e.g., Miss America Organization, YWCA Yonkers, Broadway Sings for Pride, Munhu, Harambee Dallas, Harlem Film House, Morgan Marie Michael Foundation, CoWell Solutions).

Top recording artists, actors, business executives, politicians, community leaders, and other special guests are invited to offer their own commentary on a given topic, as a supplement to Shefik's engaging mindset. As of this writing, "Shefik presents Invocation" has won over 40 industry awards (for audio, video, and website), many of which were awarded at the highest level.

Initially, Shefik secured a syndication deal with Syndication Networks Corporation to create, host, and produce a weekly show for terrestrial radio. From there, he launched "Shefik presents Invocation" on 20 radio stations and frequencies throughout the United States. That number has now risen to 23 radio stations and frequencies.

From the onset, all of Shefik's interview segments are shot in-person, and on video. The audio is extracted from each interview segment and broadcast in the radio show, whereas the videos are broadcast via various distribution outlets. For video distribution, Shefik has secured deals with Amazon Prime Video, Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Vewd, Audio Fuzz, and Yonkers Voice. Videos are also posted via channels at YouTube, Facebook, Vimeo, Instagram, Dailymotion, and Medium. In addition, via a distribution deal with It's Relevant TV, videos are broadcast at outlets in 20 states throughout the United States, inclusive of storefronts, medical offices, car dealerships, restaurants, salons, urgent care centers, pharmacies, malls, sports arenas, and more.
