Shedding light on rip-off alarms

The choice you make about alarm manufacturer could cost you £20K!

The system that you chose in your building has more impact that you realise, proper planning is key to saving and here's why

Over the years I’ve had so many conversions with commercial maintenance clients about why they are paying so much for additions to their alarm systems, its a common story and no doubt it’s not limited to fire and security systems, below is some of the advice I have given;

  1. Invest in proper advice at the planning stage - Don't scrimp - it will cost you in the long run
  2. Ask the right question/s
  3. Understand the terminology used (cut the BS)
  4. Think about living with the system you choose, what is the customer service going to be?

What if I've already got an expensive closed or managed system?

There are choices and options, some will be costly but others wont, when you do choose to do something about it, make sure that you've done your homework.

If you'd like to know more head over to our blog (its free..) and find out how I came to the £20K figure. Follow the link below and have a look - if you have questions then I'm happy to help.

Paul, Do you install for NHS Trusts in Hospitals much? If so, you may be interested in the Fire & Security zone at Healthcare Estates in October. 4,000 visitors made up of NHS Trusts, estates and facilities managers & engineers looking for products & services to solve their fire safety challenges. If you'd like more info to attend or exhibit drop me a line [email protected]?

Same for Sprinklers/Watermist - ignore the tried and tested at your peril!

Sadly true. I know of multi occupancy buildings where it was cheaper for the tenants to install a complete new conventional 2 wire system than add to and move cover off the closed house system....
