As she takes the bow

When women are heard, they will transform the world.        

On the 9th of May 2024, I received an email from Jennie Larsen founder and CEO of www.worldpulse.org a global digital women's community that connects women leaders from different parts of the world and bringing them a global voice.

Jesine called 'Yen-see-Nah' is an award-winning social media entrepreneur and international journalist and speaker who has made listening to women leaders around the world her job. As a digital social entrepreneur, her talks often revolves around the power of technology, innovation and social media for women's global empowerment.

As a rising leader in the world pulse community, I have not had much interaction with Jensine, hence when I saw the email with her name on it, I knew it had to be something important. And of course, the message it contained blew me away.

The mail contains news of Jensine's transition from her role as founder and CEO of World Pulse, handing over the reigns to a capable successor by the end of the year I was both excastic and emotional, because who wouldn't?

Jensine has exemplified what true leadership is; founding an organisation, building it to its peak, gracefully stepping down and handing over the mantle to the next woman. EPIC

It has been the honour of my life to lead the inception and growth of World Pulse... I’d like to give a special shout to each courageous, outspoken woman and ally of World Pulse around the world. You have always been and will continue to be my inspiration and driving force.?

Ironically, Jensine is the inspiration every one of us on world pulse looks up to in admiration and awe. It requires such great insight, passion and dedication to be able to build such a vision that started in 2004 to now having over 24.5m women from over 200 countries across the world to believe in it.

The humble dream of a 28 years old woman in Oregon, World Pulse is today one of the most recognised global women's platform that has won awards, and been recognised by the UN, UNESCO and many others.

Worldpulse clocks 20 years old this year, and Jensine takes a bow.

It must have been an emotional decision to make, as it was an emotional news for us to process. But it is for the best, hence myself and every other woman in the community are wishing our leader, mentor and sister Jensine an even more wonderful future as the pioneer global vocal Ambassador of this global women's community which she birthed and raised to adulthood.

We are grateful to you, proud of you and will always look up to you.        

Jensine is our Shero, and we are very proud of her. As we get set to bid her goodbye from the office she has held for twenty years,I would like to call on every woman leader, aspiring woman leader and those seeking inspiration to log on to world pulse as it will support them in finding their voice, their reason, their purpose, their agency, their passion, their drive and the support to pursue them.
