We would like to congratulate Steven and Amanda on their recent engagement! If you guessed that this proposal did not take place in Fort Worth, you are correct. Steven proposed on Mount Hakone located in the Kanagwa Prefecture, Japan.

Steven worked with Nichole at our downtown location. He came in with a list of wants and a few images, and they got to work. With a fast approaching deadline, Steven selected a 2.18 carat, cushion cut, black diamond. They then worked with our custom jeweler and surrounded the black diamond with just over a half carat of round, brilliant white diamonds.

Somehow, he got Amanda to stop by so we could size her finger. We all earned Oscar nominations by pretending we had never heard of a black diamond engagement ring!

They are such a wonderful couple, and we’re so happy we could not only meet Steven’s timeline, but exceed their expectations. We wish them all the best, and hope they enjoy many happy years together.
