she was begging for water!!

yesterday,i was out for a walk after iftari, when i saw a women, who seemed to be a beggar accompanied by her children who were lying on footpath under falling dusk, as i was thinking how cruel it was, i noticed she was trying to stop passer buys, but no body stopped. i can not exactly speculate anything, maybe they all were in a rush or they may have thought she might ask for something. In an agony on their situation i was about to cross her when she stopped me, i had no fear of losing money to this women because i was penny-less and had no money in the pocket, i am sure if i had money of my own i would have given some without any hesitation, but this lady, who covered her face partially as women usually do asked only for a glass of water, instantly i thought how hot it is in Lahore now a days and for how long she was asking for that?? she was feared by her young children's security and could not leave herself to search for water but instead asked the passers byes. how cruel it is that we ignore these people in streets, i know many of them are mocks but at-least we should listen to them, i don't think someone will intentional put their children on the streets and star begging, it is the the poverty that compels them coupled with fewer opportunities for women in our country who are not skilled and can not earn.

think about this on today's iftari, and see if you can make a little change.
