Shaunna's Shorts (...in 250 words or less): #JustKeepSwimming

Let’s stop fighting, ya’ll. Let me explain what I mean.?

I've had rough days in the water. In that past, I’ve had excellent swims, but sometimes it’s STILL?a choppy day to be in the water. Boats, jetskis, something bit my ankle...stuff happens in the water. *Kanye shrug*?

For an inexperienced swimmer — waves, wakes, and tough current would trigger “flight”. Get OUT of the water. Out, I’m GONE.?

For a newer swimmer — waves, wakes, and tough current would trigger doubts that you are physically able to endure, so you may want to turn back or at least take a detour. Exit stage left.?

But for the more experienced swimmer, waves, wakes, and tough current remind us of several principles:?

This is God’s creation and conditions that you cannot control.?

More effort may not move you forward, so your SKILLS have nothing to do with your CONDITION.?

Stopping and floating with the current may be all that you can do.?

The tough conditions will inevitably subside as long as you hang in there and don’t look back.?

I’m not gonna lie, I’ve glanced backward more than ONCE, especially in tumultuous journeys. But once I stopped fighting against the current – in business and in life – the current takes me around my goal buoy with almost no effort.?

Just because conditions are strong, that doesn’t mean that you are weak.?

Stop fighting the current and work WITH the current. You’ll expend less physical and emotional energy...and surprisingly, you’ll STILL get where you’re going.?

Stop fighting, be still, and be strong.?

#inspiration?
