Sharonville’s New Assistant Plant Manager Excited for Opportunity
Third-generation Ford employee Duan’te (pronounced DON-tay) Anderson is thrilled to join the Sharonville Transmission Plant team as assistant plant manager.
“I’m excited about what I see,” said Anderson. “I’m really impressed with the work ethic of the folks that work here. There is a very good culture and team atmosphere here, and I’m looking forward to engaging and learning from that.”
Anderson, who was born and raised in Detroit, said, “Ford was very much a part of my background, being in the Motor City where automotive is king.” ?Anderson's grandfather, Allen, worked at the Rouge, and his father, Mark, worked in transmission and glass plants in managerial and industrial engineering roles. Duan’te holds incredible appreciation and gratitude for his forefathers, since they forged a frontier of opportunity for him with Ford Motor Company.
Anderson spent three years as a supervisor at Livonia Transmission Plant, 15 years at Van Dyke Transmission Plant serving in multiple roles, and four years at Lima Engine Plant as an area manager. At STP, Anderson will lead operations
Can we just say "born and raised in Detroit?"?agree!?
Anderson describes himself as engaging, assertive, and team concentric, with a leadership style of service and competition.
He is passionate about diversity, equity, and inclusion, and was deeply involved with the DEI committee at Lima Engine Plant. He has already joined Sharonville’s s DEI committee and looks forward to making a difference.
He played sports his entire life, and that team concept carries over to his work, he said.
“I need to really understand what the grassroot needs are and then sit back with the team and continue to develop strategy,” he said. “Building bridges is always a safe place to start, highlighting commonality. I learned those things in sports. Sports can teach you there’s all different folks from all walks of life, and if they can focus on the same goal, you can do great things, and you learn about each other along the way.”
