Weather got you hunkered down? Here's a MUST SEE for your inclement climate day. People seem to love movies that capture train wrecks, but unlike the duo of #FyreFestival docs, this one threatens the most important influencer in your life - yourself. Sharkwater: Extinction is an action/adventure documentary that dives deep into the urgent life and death battle between humans and sharks. More elephants kill people than sharks, but while we love to protect elephants, our disdain for sharks is pushing them to the brink of extinction no thanks also to a billion dollar illegal shark finning industry and corrupt politicians. And at the top of the food chain . . . if sharks go away . . . everything in the ocean will start to change - including how it generates oxygen (currently 50% of the air we breathe).

12 years ago I hosted the US premiere of the original #Sharkwater at the Gen Art Film Festival and promote the theatrical release. It has been one of my greatest honors - supporting such an important film and an incredible filmmaker and friend - Rob Stewart. Sadly, for those who do not know, Rob passed away while making his follow-up documentary.
His parents and friends finished the film which takes you on the journey of its making - racing alongside Rob and the crew exposing this ever growing crisis. Rob was a sharp shooter both with camera and message . . . creating a restlessness amongst viewers that makes us have to act. Share the film with others - it's important.
You can read my thoughts about the passing of a hero here.
Shark parts are used in all sorts of products from cat food to cosmetics - often disguised by other names. The Telegraph just released this article yesterday warning consumers that the fish you are eating could be shark.
Stay warm and dry (unless you are in the ocean!)
