Sharjah,Mina Khalid Port in 1950's

Recently I was organizing my archives which was put together during my Halcrow days in Dubai ,found a bundle of floppy discs, unfortunately no device to read these discs ..then started looking for old computers , few days before found one and retrieved the files partly.

I found an amazing report in that archives about the Sharjah Mina Khalid port, prepared by Sir William Halcrow back in early 50’s before the Emirates united. The report was prepared and submitted based on the instructions from the father of present His Highness Ruler of Sharjah. I think this was the first feasibility report on Khalid port and another astonishing observation is that the cost estimate had prepared in British Indian rupee, a currency was used those days in British India and other Asian countries.

I feel this is an invaluable piece of work done by Halcrow and wanted share  the layout to my ex-Halcrow colleagues and friends.
