Sharing your life with your family #2

My first newsletter “Article”

"The trail is long, and we won't arrive at our destination in this life. Still, we're on the journey with Jesus for the greatest thrill of our lives." Zig Ziglar

Each of us has a story in our lives and hearts. It wants to get out.

Here is an easy way to share our “story”!

Our “story” for our children and grandchildren.

Because of my curiosity about my families vegetable farm on the outskirts of the City of Milwaukee and how my grandparents acquired it in the 1930’s and other facts about the orgin of my family roots and the passing of both my parents before I could find out these facts…I thought it important to pass on not just this info but my acquired wisdom over the years to my children and grandchildren.

Sensing my curiosity and desire to do some writing and to pass on any wisdom I had acquired over the past 80 years…while I still have the opportunity and time, my daughter Ami, gave me a birthday present last year. Storyworth.

Every week I get a question?from her or any of my children or grandchildren to answer and write a story. I can also write my own questions! When I write my "Answer", they then get an email with the story.?I can even include pictures. So far I have completed 34 questions and have another 9 in a draft form waiting to complete. When the 50 or so questions are answered in a “Story” children and grandchildren also get the “story” in a printed book. ?Anyone can ask any question.

Just one way we can leave a legacy in life and pass on our acquired wisdom to the people we love the most!

Just a short sampling of the kinds of questions my children and?or grandchildren have asked:

What is the one book that has influenced you the most?

What has made your faith stronger?

Who is the wisest person you’ve known. What have you learned from them?

What gives you peace?of mind?

What qualities do?you most value in your friends?

What were?your grandparents like?

What did you learn from your parents?

What things matter most to you in life?

If you could go back in time and change one decision, what would it be?

What is your motto?

If you could have as much money as you wanted, what would you do with it?

What is your best relationship advice?

Whom?have been some of?the most important people in your life? Can you tell me about him or her?

Have you had any life changing events this year?

?

A good way to tell How has God worked in your life in the past. How He is working now.

Life is short

“Show me, O LORD, my life’s end and the number of my days; let me know how fleeting is my life. You have made my days a mere handbreadth; the span of my years is as nothing before you. Each man’s life is but a breath Psalm 39: 4-5 (NIV)

Time to start writing your story!?A short article or post about my vision for writing my “life story” https://faithvisionservice.com/gods-story-in-your-life/

We all want to leave our mark on the world: As Billy Graham has said: “The greatest legacy one can pass on to one’s children and grandchildren is not money or other material things accumulated in one’s life, but rather a legacy of character and faith.” — Billy Graham
