The University of Granada, in Spain, has just held their first fully-online election for university rector with Scytl's Invote Pro solution. Learning Opportunity: UKY at Scytl HQ
MBA Students from the University of Kentucky College of Engineering visited Scytl HQ in Barcelona earlier this month as part of a trip to a number of leading tech companies across the city. The students spoke with our CEO and our SVP of Research & Security about privacy mechanisms and e-identification in elections and online voting systems, and the possibilities and challenges of post-quantum technologies.
University Elections: 100% Online
The University of Granada has just held their first fully-online election for university rector using Scytl's secure online voting technology. With Invote Pro in hand, more than 57,000 students, faculty, and staff were able to cast their ballots online for the university's highest leadership position. With this election, Scytl reaffirms its position as the leading provider of online voting technology for Spanish universities.
Innovation Projects: SOTERIA H2020
Our Research & Security team are consistently collaborating on various innovative security and modernization projects, helping to find creative solutions to present-day challenges with international experts. The SOTERIA H2020 Project has just announced the three participating institutions that will take part in their e-Voting use case, investigating digital identities and personal data privacy.
