Sharing my CEO magazine article

Fire and Rescue NSW (FRNSW) is a good organisation but there is an opportunity to take the lead in establishing best practice and make it even better.

The environment we operate in has vastly changed over the 130 years we have been serving the community.

Being a firefighter today is about so much more than fighting fires. We deal with anything from house fires, to motor vehicle accidents and humanitarian disasters supporting other agencies, to hazardous material incidents and delivering education programs to the community and training.

Our firefighters are prepared for anything; to help anyone, anywhere, anytime.

The most important thing I’ve done in my first year as FRNSW Commissioner is listen to hundreds of people from all levels and areas of the organisation, as well as many people from outside FRNSW.

In this article I share some of the vision we have created together for the future of FRNSW:

FRNSW has a proud history. Our values of respect, integrity, service and courage will always remain at our core. Our vision and plan to deliver it is positioning FRNSW exceptionally well for a bright future we are all excited about

A good insight and nice read. Look forward to seeing how FRNSW evolves on its path to becoming a high performance organisation. Love your support for being more representative of communities which in y view is a critical issue.
