Since politics is a hot topic at the moment I would like to share that I am the Mayor Elect in Prineville Oregon and will start my first term in January. I have been serving on the Prineville City Council for the past 10 years and have always wanted to run for mayor. The Mayor of Prineville has no permanent powers to veto or override any decisions as we are a majority rules council of seven members who are all volunteers (meaning we are elected but receive no pay).

I was born and raised here in Prineville and have seen many changes in my 47 years. I worked in the tire industry for 22 years until I was fortunate enough to work as a contractor at the largest social media company in the world who happens to have a datacenter here in Prineville. I have now been in tech for 8 years, have worked for two of the largest companies in the world, and have seen my small country town grow.

I have seen many things in my life, especially while serving in Baghdad Iraq with the Oregon Army National Guard's 41 IBCT, and I wanted to serve my community when I returned home. We have it very good in the United States but there is work to do to include everyone. I took an oath to uphold the Constitution of the Unites States which covers all people of the US and I plan on honoring that oath until I die. Together we can find common ground and fix the problems we face as a nation and it starts locally.
