I thought you went solo. . . what’s this Gorilla ERP thing Felicity?
Well get comfy and gather in my darlings I shall tell you the tale of how The Mad SAP Woman Ltd partnered up with Gorilla ERP. . .
Around June time last year Dean Harrison slid into my DM’s with the proposition of joining Gorilla ERP and becoming their first exclusive SAP Recruiter. We met up and our values just aligned, he advocates work-life-balance, I advocate not being a dick, it just seemed like it would work for both of us. We had both agreed that although a fabulous opportunity it would be better if we made the move after Christmas. Gave me a chance to try and get the house sold and back on my feet before having to resettle into a new business. Gave Gorilla the chance as a young company to build up interest and demand in their existing clients before I came on board. We stayed in touch and caught up regularly in the long run up to Christmas.
Due to different factors, the house sale, burnout, the tax man, life in general etc, I never signed the contract and instead Dean assisted me as I went down the route of setting up on my own. Poor lad had to deal with hours and hours of questions like, “do I need to be VAT registered”, “are you sure I need an accountant”, “how much do I invoice”, “is The Mad SAP Woman Ltd too childish a name”, “why are websites so expensive”, “what do I pay for from the business”, “can I get an email address without having to have the website too” etc.. Remembering the crucial fact of Dean not being a dick he dealt with it all very well and helped me sort out what is an absolute must for now, what can wait and then what I don’t need at all (we disagree on the unicorn desk for my office being a must now).
Well that just sounds peachy Felicity but what does that mean for us?
It means you still get to use me as a recruiter, but I am no longer governed by power-mad money-hungry fools that only care about bottom lines; I can recruit for you the way that works best for all. If you need someone for a few days to do some firefighting or a year for an implementation we can make it happen. I get to choose who I work with and when, my time isn’t wasted on multi-agency roles or gathering CV’s for bid work. Much like my blogs I’ll be honest, open and probably a little blunt, so if you prefer to work with “yes men” in shiny suits with their red socks and “bants” I’m not for you. You probably aren’t for me either. And that’s OK! I’ll just be over here having a brew reading up on new releases in SAP and what the next big innovations will be, occasionally I might even post an interview or blog if it piques my interest. Not everyone sees the value in it, but I do and so do my partners.
Dean and the gang at Gorilla ERP are well known for being just as open and honest as I, perhaps a little less sweary maybe. . . Their no-nonsense style means you know what you’re getting and what you’re paying for upfront without any hidden costs or surprises. That is why I have partnered with them in my first steps out into the big scary world of business.

4 年Sounds too good to be true this guys! Revitalizing and a different spin than the norm! I like the approach and collaborative framework overlaid on the subject. I’ve been around a while and know hoops people jump through to get a result and make things happen. Nothing wrong with The Mad SAP Woman! One day at a time and good luck. :-)
