Is marriage and employment any different?

Looking for the “perfect” candidate is surly a stressful process. Sometimes it seems like looking for your soulmate that you want to spend your life with. Where a lot of attributes (competencies), interests (needs), and benefits (welfare) should be explored and agreed upon before committing to each other.

The struggle starts with identifying what is it that you want from your significant other? Since you want to grow together, and stay with each other for the longest time you can, where loyalty and companionship will develop. Then working on being gorgeous enough to attract the candidates and reduce your efforts of searching and reaching out for them, where they will also be looking for you too. After that, tests, interviews, recommendations, and probation period (engagement) will take place to ensure that you have found the ONE. Nevertheless, this is only step #1.

The term staffing has evolved to be recruitment, then transitioned to talent acquisition. Where organizations started to think about the whole cycle of employment and retention. In an effort to reduce the hiring costs by being involved into understanding whom has continue their commitment and whom has got divorced and why? So it kind of became a science rather than a task or a comprehensive tool to be used. Artificial Intelligence and the Internet of Things should evolve to help recruiters understand their applicants, where more data will be gathered about applicants, not only their CV and Resumes (gotta meet the family!)

What medium have you used to get your best talents from? Professional network, referrals, job announcements? and how was it effective?
