Shared Thoughts: Colleagues Reveal Their Unique Perspectives

With great pleasure, we present a unique insight into life at BHTC Bulgaria. Our goal is to offer perspectives from our colleagues, shedding light on the company's internal culture, and most notably, the emphasis placed on personal and professional growth.

Today we share thoughts from our conversation with Boyan Valov, Senior Test & Measurement Engineer.

• Tell us more about yourself and what your main duties are.

?I turned 8 this year with the company, starting in the maintenance technician position. This included machine maintenance, ESD, and spare parts. After about a year I moved into the engineering test team.

Since last year I have been a senior test engineer in the test and measurement department. Part of the tasks that my colleagues and I perform are following up on the construction of new equipment.

To a certain extent, we communicate with the suppliers regarding the specification of important project details and the set-up of instruments.

• ?What do you like to do in your spare time?

I ride a bicycle and together with my friends, we go around on bicycles.

• ?What motivates you every day?

I can think of a few things at the moment:

• Having and maintaining a friendly relationships with colleagues in the Company from the start. We started at the same time with a lot of people and work as a team.
• We learn about some things on the fly as the projects themselves are going on. If one wants to develop and learn new things, colleagues are open and have something to share and help. In my time at BHTC, I have learned a lot from colleagues in different positions, both from the production manager and my direct supervisor, and also from colleagues at my level.
• I think people are looking for security for their families now, for the long term. I believe BHTC gives security and peace of mind for the future! Moreover, new innovative projects are coming.
• ?What do you think is important for young people to know about BHTC?

?I remember when I was in grade 11, we were assigned to different manufacturing companies for internships. We learned a lot during that time, and at the end of the internship, we were also happy that it was paid. Unfortunately, few young people are interested in joining and progressing in a manufacturing company, perhaps because of the location.?

• ?What do you think is good to say to people who don't know the Company from the inside?

?My friends are not engineers and find my work very exciting and interesting. Due to the confidentiality of the information, I only shared that in the Company we produce air conditioners for the major car manufacturers and see innovation before anyone else. Basically, we touch the future before everyone else.

People find it really interesting that the units for such world-famous car brands are manufactured in Bulgaria.
