The Chest of Powerful Moments

There are a few powerful past events that I keep playing back in my head whenever I need a boost in confidence. These events remind me of what I have overcome, what inner resources I have access to and who I can be when I choose to do so.?

I found this a great strategy to counter self-doubt and fear, so I am sharing this with those who may need it.

First, two of my power moments:

Birth of My Daughter:

The birth of my daughter was one of the most powerful events in my life. I was astonished by my power to surrender to the birthing process, letting go of the need to control and following a breathing technique until my baby girl was born.

Skiing by Myself

On the fourth of our skiing holiday on the Austrian slopes, we visited one of the mountain peaks. I suggested my friends ski back to the village, but the rest of the crew felt that they had enough adventures for that day. So I decided to make that journey by myself.

I know for some of you, this may be laughable, but you see, I was not a good skier, and it took all my courage to embark on that 3-hour journey down the snowy slopes and navigate my way back. But, at the foot of that mountain, I knew I had overcome many internal barriers that were holding me back.

Instead of spending time doubting myself, I can use these memories as evidence of my personal power. As I think of them, I can feel the energy rise in my body!

A few tips:

  1. Create them.?It is easy to say no to challenging experiences because they are uncomfortable and often frightening. Consider saying "yes" to the challenge. You will be able to use the memories of these events as a resource in the future. They will serve as evidence of your courage.
  2. Record them.?Had a successful difficult conversation? Created a successful outcome? Made a difference? Take note of these events, as you can learn more from your successes than your mistakes.?
  3. Reflect on them.?Take some time to refresh your memory and remember how you felt right after accomplishing something. What were bodily sensations in your body? How did you feel emotionally? Use that energy to overcome other barriers in your life.
  4. Share them. Talking about these events creates long-term memories. You become more conscious of what you value and why. You also inspire others.

What is in your chest of powerful moments?

It was a genuine reflection and Thank you ??

Energizing soul and spirit ??
