Share Content With Your Database
Something that I know takes the wind out of the sails of a lot of people hoping to expand their business through content creation is a lack of engagement. When you’re uploading content on a daily basis, it’s only natural that you’d want people to see it. It’s often when people feel their efforts are going unnoticed that they start to question why they began this journey in the first place. The funny thing is, that a lot of the people who end up quitting this way are the same people who ignore their immediate target audience, their database.
If we’re being completely realistic, it’s important to remember that you’re never the only one trying to share information through social media, and regardless of how niche your field might be, you’re likely not the first to share information about it. By sharing your content with your database, you not only guarantee that eyes will be on your content, but it also greatly increases the odds that those who see it will interact with it, whether it’s by liking, sharing, or leaving a comment. If they’re in your database, you already know that they’re interested in the value that you aim to bring, and that’s exactly the kind of person you want to steer towards your content. This is the easiest way to build yourself up in any preferred platform’s algorithm, and if they do end up sharing your content, you’ll be expanding your network without any additional work.

In addition to giving your content more attention, if you can find ways to repurpose your content for your database, you’ll be able to save time and costs while trying to stay connected. For example, you can expand on a topic you’ve covered in a short form video in greater detail with a blog, giving your database additional value that they wouldn’t find by just following you on social media. At the end of the day, this is your inner circle, and you’ll want to give them as much attention as possible so that they’re more likely to share your content around, recommending you to their contacts. We all want to reach out to the world. Start with the people next to you.
