It has to stop. This constant belief that 'oh I can't do that now, I'm waiting for the perfect time'.

Or 'I'll wait for the perfect time to ask for a promotion'. 'I'll wait for the perfect time to travel or ask her/him to marry me'.

And this one annoys me so much... 'I'm waiting for the perfect time to share my story'!!!!!

Noooooo....

Let me explain.

I've lived a fare share of life. 30 years married. 3 countries lived in (so far). 5 kids. Grandkids. Corporate career. In business nearly 20 years. Started magazines, TV shows, Podcasts, spoken on stages around the world and entered and won many awards.

So I know hand on heart that there is NO perfect time to do something.

I didn't always feel ready to say YES to all of those things above. In fact, more times than not I said yes and then felt sick. But because I have a high-level of integrity I did them anyway. I also learnt as I grew older and greyer, that I needed to trust.

Trust myself that this opportunity/job/baby/ etc would not have entered into my world unless it was the right next step for me and possibly part of a bigger plan that I couldn't see.

I needed to trust that maybe, just maybe, the universe/god whoever you believe in knows something I don't and because it conspires in our favour every day, maybe I just need to feel all the feels and say a BIG FAT YES!!!

Have you ever considered for a minute that someone who talks to you at an event may be the key to open a doorway full of opportunities for you?

Or someone who DM's you may actually have taken the time to research you and sent you a message as they believe their product/service can actually help you?

There is not ONE person I've interviewed either on my TV show or my new podcast show, that hasn't said YES to something that they had no clue how it would turn out. Not a one.

But they did it anyway.

Now we all know how social media algorithms work right?
