Shaping Your World
What is real? I know. It’s a bizarre question to ponder when you’re thinking about the day’s tasks and responsibilities. But, if you’re familiar with the latest developments in neuroscience research, you’ll know that we seem to possess a strange ability to shape and design the reality around us. If you’re shaking your head and wondering how any of this makes sense, don’t worry. It’s a very challenging subject to squeeze into the narrow confines of our conscious minds. If we’re being frank, it’s a wildly counterintuitive conclusion that flies in the face of our understanding of how the world functions. Yet, the research results continue to baffle our senses and defy our grasp of the fabric of realty. Perhaps this is also a subtle invitation for us to accept our potential to become the conscious architects of our world and strive to craft a life that supports our potential for greater self-awareness, self-expression and self-fulfilment. It might seem to be a revolutionary concept but you might already know that the idea has been around for thousands and thousands of years.
In ancient times and across countless cultures, the pursuit of a direct experience of reality was considered to be the highest goal that anyone could achieve. We’ve always possessed a deep, intuitive grasp that our minds were somehow shaping the fabric of the universe. If this is really so, then we all possess an innate capacity to channel our mental and emotional energy and direct it onto the blank canvas of the world. It’s a revelation that the world is not happening around us but is rather an extension of our mind’s natural ability to impose its projections onto the raw material of the universe. It’s a heady thought. But it implies that we are more capable of creating the shape, direction and quality of our lives than we ever thought possible. With this insight, we move from the passive mode of those who see the world and everyone in it as separate, discrete entities, a world that appears to be quite distinct from our sense of personal identity – and, in a moment of exquisite revelation, we become the active sculptors who are free to intervene in shaping the very nature of reality,
As a simple step in the right direction, we can begin by harnessing our emotional energy and directing it towards enhancing our health and wellbeing. As this process becomes more familiar and more comfortable, we can extend the principle to the environment around us and seek to promote greater wellbeing for everyone we encounter.

?If the principle is truly valid, it means that we’re already projecting our energy all the time as our default behaviour. Let us endeavour to tune our thoughts and feelings towards a much healthier and more positive set of results. If we are creating the world we live in, let’s make it a much better place that truly reflects our potential to evolve towards our fullest potential.
