If you were to travel a quintillion mile, you could make approximately 10.75 million billion (or 10,750 trillion) round trips around the Sun. Doesn't it sound incredible? Although the number might be hard to wrap around your head, it will boggle your mind knowing that this figure is increasing as we speak. The amount of data being generated globally continues to skyrocket as we rely more and more on devices like smartphones and computers. In fact, in 2022 alone, the world generated a staggering more than 94 zettabytes of data. We are expected to generate around 120 zettabytes of data by the end of 2023. By 2025, experts predict that over 200 zettabytes of data will be stored in cloud storage worldwide. In recent years, there has been an extraordinary increase in the amount of data being generated, with up to 90% of the world's data produced in just a brief period. Not only this but every day roughly 100 billion messages are shared on WhatsApp and Facebook alone. This can be attributed to the remarkable advancements in smart devices that make it easier to create and store data. However, as the amount of data being produced continues to grow, the question arises - where is it all being stored? ?

Traditional data centers and servers simply cannot keep up with the massive amount of data being generated and stored. This is where hyperscale data centers come in. Hyperscale data centers are designed to scale rapidly and efficiently to meet the needs of growing businesses that require vast computing resources. They use distributed systems and parallel processing to divide tasks into smaller parts and run them simultaneously across thousands of servers located in multiple data centers This approach supplies high scalability, flexibility, cost-effectiveness, reliability, and high performance. ?

With Hyperscalers, you can rest easy knowing that your services will not be interrupted. Even if a few nodes in a cluster are damaged, it would typically cause a major setback and delay in deploying your applications if you were using a smaller, on-premises data center. However, Hyperscalers are so large and agile that this kind of issue would not even be a concern. ?

The hyperscale market is dominated by a few major players, including Amazon Web Services (AWS), Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Services. These companies own half of the hyperscale data centers worldwide, making them the go-to providers for businesses that require large-scale computing resources. Aamra has formed partnerships with industry giants such as Amazon and Microsoft to offer the most outstanding services to our domestic customers. ?

Bangladesh has taken a major step forward in protecting data with the introduction of the Data Protection Act 2022. This is a crucial development, as it demonstrates a growing awareness of the importance of data security and privacy. However, while third-party cloud providers can offer many benefits, it is essential to consider the risks and potential issues associated with storing sensitive data. Depending on the data type, storing it in-house or in a private cloud may be more appropriate, providing greater control and security. This approach can be particularly appealing if you prefer to keep sensitive information within the country's borders, as it can provide an extra layer of protection and ensure that sensitive information stays secure. For this, I believe, local companies need to contribute to creating and providing scopes for local businesses. ?
