Shame on me...

It's been a while since I've wrote anything about mental health. I feel ashamed that it's been...well, months!
I wrote more about it when I was in bad place, it helped me deal with it on a day to day basis. However, over the last few months...life has been good (for the most part).
The last article I wrote was in December...worst month of my life. Since then, I've found my own place to live, working hard...and have met someone who gives me balance (she knows who she is).
This week is mental health awareness week and I just wanted to take the opportunity to highlight the fact (once again) that it's NOTHING to be ashamed of.
There are so called specialists on here, gurus, life improvement evangelists, ninjas, coaches etc. Whilst I appreciate some have the qualifications, others the experience...the vast (not all) majority I've engaged with were in it for their own personal gain (podcasts, articles, paid sessions etc).
I've got through it without expensive help. Talk about it, don't bottle anything up, speak to me, get in touch with Nik McEwan (he's a bit weird, but he'll listen), connect with MIND or one of many other free services available.
At the moment, life is ok...but I know from experience it won't always be. One thing I won't be afraid of is speaking about it...to anyone.
Remember, #itsoknottobeok
