SHAME

Country’s biggest child abuse scandal in Ganda Singh Wala is horrific and revolting. The' victims' families were pressurized by local political figures into withdrawing their allegations The political figures that allegedly pressurized the families need to be named & brought to task.The response of the local police has been pathetic. This is certainly the biggest case of paedophilia that has shamed the nation.

Child abuse is no longer hushed up by ideas of ‘taboo’, ‘honour’ & ‘shame’.The children, who have been abused, have done nothing to be held to ‘shame’ – a concept used in our culture to continually silence a victim. Need a judicial inquiry at the level of the high court should be conducted into the matter & the culprits handed over the Courts for speedy & fair trial. Moreover give the guilty the maximum punishment under the law.....
