Since lockdown, our focus here at shakti has been all about you and our message has been to SELF CARE IS QUEEN. These are morbid trying times so taking care of ourselves, and each other is more important now than ever. We are stitching a new garment and as part of the new make sure you maintain your physical, mental, and spiritual heath.
Women Walking on Water
Water has so many benefits, not just for the skin and the body but for the soul. It nourishes us in so many ways. When I feel overwhelmed I light some candles run a nice hot bath and soak away my sorrows. Well, we have launched a project all about water and wellbeing aimed to get women walking and talking around Birmingham beautiful canals with monthly trips to water based places in the UK and to write creatively about water and its healing properties.
Lets Talk
As women we tend to be strong rarely showing our weakness but its time to let your guard down. I for one am tired of saying "I'm fine" when really all I want to do is scream. If things have been getting on top on you then its probably a sign that you need to talk. So, we are here to listen. We are only a email away, we have a team of professional counsellors, mentors and therapists for to talk and share. Email us at [email protected] with your number and we will get in touch. Don't suffer in silence, you weren't made to be alone.

Crafty Christmas/Lockdown Diaries
This year has shown us all that we are stronger than we think we are. In these moments we realise that we have more to offer, more life to live, more laughter to release, families to reconnect with and most importantly love to give both to ourselves and others. We want to hear how you've overcome or even how you still haven't quite figured it out - we want to know the good, the bad and the ugly. We want you to write 50-250 words: a poem, a story, a piece of prose, a diary entry or even just a rant. Email us at [email protected]
And if you are feeling crafty over Christmas then we would like to know all about it. Share it with us..
