Shake away the shame
Shake away the shame.
Marianne Williamson writes in the book, The Return To Love that “a miracle is a change in perception”.
Over the years, I’ve interviewed many candidates that have erroneously paused their lives in pursuit of what they perceived to be a better role, more money and, on some occasions, life partner.
I have often wondered if they have ever contemplated that this may just be it. That these are, indeed, the days they have been hoping for.
I am all for having a vision board, and I do aspire for more, except I know that it will be exactly just that - “more of everything material”. A bigger house will not ensure a life well lived. Another car won’t fast track my path. More luxurious holidays won’t deliver that much needed rest.
Perhaps all we need to remember is that we are the chosen ones. We are the most charitable generation that values happiness above all. We are a generation that has access to information, and knows no borders. We are free to air our ideas and opinions. We’ve redefined the new norm.
This is it.
The idea of scaling across borders might not be guaranteed. But don’t take your small beginnings for granted. Fifty followers are a lot.
Success is loving the eight to five, learning continuously and embracing the mundane tasks.
Be present in your everyday.
Stop.
Look around you. Appreciate how far you’ve come.
Practice telling your story.
And find joy in your as is.
