19. I did a poem, too. So, I guess, there were 19 people on the open mic!
Much love to Shab-e She’r team, Laboni Islam, Kate Marshall Flaherty, Fabian McGill, Emilie Ballay, Glen Gary and Jeannine Pitas, for their hard work, dedication and vision. Huge thanks to our features, Gianna Patriarca and Thunderclaw Robinson for their stellar performances. Thanks to Guernica Editions, Quattro Books and The Ontario Poetry Society for their gift of books. Thanks to St. Stephen’s for the inspiring space.
Last but not least, much love to our audience who came to support diversity in poetry.
Mark your calendars for out next event on June 26th, 2018, featuring Jenna Tenn-Yuk and Rajinderpal Pal. Bring friends and spread the word to reach communities that may have been left out.
While Shab-e She’r has a good following, we wish to truly represent the beautiful diversity of Toronto (GTA) and this means we always need to reach out and include more people.
Much love for your support,
B?noo Zan
