Arts/Convocation Hall, University of Alberta Campus
?
Shab-e She’r Poetry Open Mic @UofA XCI on February 28, 2023, was a great event with diverse people attending and reciting poetry.
?
Some people attended to support friends and listen to poetry. Some, to do all of the above as well as to share their words. Thank you all for your support, courage, and kindness.
?
Here are the people who read on the open mic:
?
1.???Farah Ayaad
2.???Michael O’Driscoll
3.???Agam Noor (English & Punjabi)
4.???Meghan Eaker (English and Cree)
5.???Samantha
6.???Dina
And, I also shared a few poems at the end.
?
We had fewer people this time, so everyone had ten minutes to read.
?
Huge thanks to all who attended and everyone who spread the word to their network, including organizations, individuals, and professors who shared the information with students.
?
Much love to Shab-e She’r team member, Farah Ayaad, for reading the land acknowledgment and photography.
?
Mark your calendars for the upcoming Shab-e She’r on March 21, 2023, the same venue.
