As a new nonprofit organization, SFNA is dedicated to empowering critical care nurses and aspiring nurse anesthetists through comprehensive education, mentorship, and resources. Founded by Kiki Mattress, MSNA, CRNA, the organization aims to foster academic success and professional growth for those on the path to becoming Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists (CRNAs).

SFNA's journey began with “The CRNA Chase” blog, where Kiki Mattress shared her experiences and challenges in becoming a CRNA. The blog quickly gained traction, leading to the creation of the Future CRNA Society Facebook group, which now boasts nearly 6,000 members. SFNA is the natural evolution of this thriving community, offering a formal structure and expanded resources to better support its members.
