SFA Gives Back

Team,

?Over the past few weeks, I’ve heard of so many amazing charitable initiatives across SFA. I’m excited to share these with you so you can see how our team is giving back this holiday season.

Within Corporate,?SFA Cares?was launched in Q4 to unify our Associates’ efforts in making a difference through contributions to charitable foundations. For this first annual holiday season of giving,?SFA Cares?has recently completed a virtual food drive with?City Harvest?and raised almost 700 pounds of nutritious food for soup kitchens and pantries across NYC. They are also partnering with the?Coalition for the Homeless?to provide presents to children who would not be able to experience gifting otherwise. Our Corporate team in India has chosen to support multiple organizations benefiting children’s education, pet care, elder support, and those affected by the coronavirus.?

The DC team is partnering with the?Maternal Family & Health Services?organization to provide new mothers with free resources to better care for their newborns.??

Our Stores have each chosen their own holiday engagement initiatives. They range from toy, clothing, and food drives, to supporting the homeless, victims of domestic and sexual violence, abused children, and cancer patients. I would like to thank the Area Marketing Directors (AMDs) for not only being dedicated to these causes, but for instilling and cascading their passion to all of their stores.?

One of our AMDs explained that, “It is with great joy and enthusiasm that once again our Associates are gearing up to help those less fortunate,” Sylvia Forsythe said, “We are happy and thankful that our team will be able to make a difference for so many this holiday season.” Fellow AMD, Katie Ward, agreed that, “These past two years have been difficult for many and our store families are happy to help,” she said.?

As announced at the annual Saks Holiday Light Show at the NYC Flagship, this season, Saks has chosen to support the Obama Foundation’s?Girls Opportunity Alliance. Each of us - and our clients - can make a difference through the purchase of a specially curated collection of giftable pieces, with 100% of the net proceeds supporting adolescent girls through education.??

Thank you for your incredible work and generosity in helping those less fortunate this holiday season. If you have any ideas for future initiatives, please reach out to your People Business Partners.?

Sincerely,

Trish Patton
