There is much more here than "sex”. This professional psychologist (Dr. James Barbaria) used me repeatedly for psychological reasons. He was going to my personal therapy?(with other doctors like Dr. Richard Geist and Dr. Jeffrey Fortgang) for psychological help, as well as using me (the patient) in a role reversal as "his therapist". I, myself and family have suffered immeasurable psychological damage over his unethical/unprofessional/immoral conduct.

I first started seeing Dr. Barbaria in November of 2012. I was very unhappy in my job and marriage and was also physically sick with GERD at the time. My first impression of Dr. Barbaria was that he was completely neurotic and more f*$ked up than me, his patient. But I had been looking for months and needed help desperately.

Over the course of the next several months he seemed very hesitant to take me on as his patient. But still yet we continued. I felt myself relating to him as a wounded victim. I found out that he was beaten and emotionally abused as I had been as a child. We connected as deeply wounded "child parts" that had not healed.

Over time the relationship turned more and more personal, with him divulging great details of his personal life/trauma to me. He insisted that we meet three times a week, including two hours on Sunday. During those times the "so-called therapy" was reversed, with me acting as the therapist and him as the patient. One therapy session comes to mind when I brought in a quilt and a stuffed tiger. I laid the quilt out on the floor and we both sat on it. I asked him about his father. He told me his father beat him severely enough to leave welts on him.

I asked him if he had anything to hold (like a stuffed toy) when he was a child. He said no. I had him hold the stuffed tiger I gave him. It was a turning point in the relationship. He kept holding me after every session for ten to fifteen minutes after that. We saw each other three times a week for five hours total.

I told him shortly after that I no longer thought this therapy was beneficial to me and that I was quitting. He begged me to stay. He had called me in one evening after work (Black Friday 2013) and I entered his dim-lit office. He sat me on his lap and put his tongue inside my mouth.
