On Sex Education for Elementary Students

Advocates of sex education for elementary-school children typically seek to instruct children at an early age in all aspects of sexuality, not only in the details of sexual anatomy and the particulars of normal male-female sexual intercourse, but also in the variations of abnormal practices such as homosexuality and transgenderism.

Included in their objectives is to indoctrinate children in gender-ideological propaganda, teaching, for example, that homosexuality and transgenderism are normal and natural and that they therefore constitute a basis for fundamental rights, often in the name of preventing “bullying,” ostracism, and suicide. In truth, however, there is no science whatsoever that establishes that either homosexuality or transgenderism is intrinsic to the nature of any human individual. None. Zero. Zip.

Premature sex education destroys childhood innocence and renders the development of the virtues of purity, modesty, and chastity practically impossible. In a public-school context, such indoctrination and brainwashing violate the fundamental rights of the children themselves, especially children in Christian families, as well as of the fundamental rights of those children’s parents.

There is a strong correlation between premature sexual education and early sexual activity and experimentation. Sexual intercourse outside of marriage is fornication, a very grave sin, and homosexual and trangender behavior are likewise very grave sins, not only for Christians but indeed for everyone.

Many of the instructional materials used in premature sex education are provided by Planned Parenthood or its sister organization, SIECUS. Pregnancy is predictably concomitant with early sexual activity. So, a burgeoning demand for abortions among the young should be no surprise. Although advocates claim that premature sex education reduces the incidence of pregnancy, a more accurate claim would be that it reduces the incidence of childbirth. While advocates typically also claim that early sex education reduces the likelihood of abortion, the reality belies that claim. Although the incidence of surgical abortions may have been declining, the incidence of chemical abortions has been skyrocketing. Chemical abortion is still abortion, and abortion in any form is the taking of an innocent human life, another very grave sin. Indeed, abortion is murder, a capital crime.

As for the ostensible motive for premature sex education being to prevent “bullying,” ostracism, and consequent suicide, it is not necessary to inundate young children with sexual information in order to discourage “bullying” and ostracism. Properly speaking, “bullying” involves intimidation, especially to elicit submission, but advocates have misappropriated the term “bullying” to mean such things as mere name-calling. Name-calling may indeed be undesirable, but it is not the same thing as bullying. Moreover, the supposed causal link between ostracism in childhood and subsequent suicide among homosexuals and transgender individuals is extremely sketchy at best. Besides, if advocates of early sex education were genuine in their desire to avoid “bullying,” they would not indulge in the harassment of those with whom they disagree.
