Seven Years of Stoodio: A Journey of Innovation and Growth

In the true spirit of celebration this August 19, we at?Stoodio?invite you to join us as we commemorate our 7th birthday!????Time sure flies when you're having fun! It's been an incredible journey of seven years filled with innovation, growth, and tons of captivating photos. Today, we'd love to give you a glimpse into how it all started and share some of our milestone moments.

The Dawn of Stoodio: When Ideas Begin to Blossom???

Our journey started with a fascinating conversation between Richard and the folks at Zalando. He learned about some new machines they had acquired for taking photographs and videos, which they absolutely adored. Now, who wouldn't get excited hearing about innovative technology and its immense potential?

Being an engineer at heart, Richard's curiosity was piqued in no time. To see these machines up close, he embarked on a trip to the Netherlands. As expected, Richard was beyond impressed and couldn't wait to bring this revolution back home. Elated and inspired, he returned to share his excitement with Heka, who immediately connected with the idea.

Richard engaged in fruitful discussions with multiple fashion titans to gauge if these machines piqued their interest - and they surely did! Within the first two months, Richard had managed successfully to sell 2 machines to?Stockmann, which led to the birth of Stoodio.

That was the pivotal turning point when our lovely Stoodio seed began to sprout into a promising venture, ready to make its mark in the world of photography and beyond. What a fantastic start, don't you think?

Building the Dream Team: Defining Our Motivation

As our team began to take shape, the heart of our motivation resonated with a clear goal: to offer top-notch photography services to small and medium-sized companies. We deeply believed that every brand, no matter its size, deserved the same access to stunning, high-quality photographs as the big fish in the pond.???

With this vision firmly in sight, the roles in our dream team were as distinct as a perfectly framed shot. Richard, our tech maestro, took the lead in all things technical and ensured every process was streamlined. Heka, our charismatic sales virtuoso, focused on nurturing relationships with clients and extending our services. Then, the ever-stylish Riitta joined our ranks, adding her flair for fashion, while Olli, our investor, bestowed his faith and financial support on our dream.

By combining these unique talents and driven by our passion, we set off on an incredible journey to make high-quality photography accessible and welcoming to growing businesses and brands alike. Time has proved that our motivation has been well worth it, as we continue to deliver our very best work and create lasting partnerships today and beyond.???

Our Growth Story

In the spirit of 'starting humble', we kicked off our journey in the age-old Machine Factory in?Telakkaranta. Despite its lack of some little 'necessities' (there was no running water or toilets to start with!), this industrial and basic space offered just the right ambiance for us to fire up our creative engines?and meet some of our first partners.

A year zoomed by amidst shoots and touch-ups, and it was time for us to change our base. And so began our expedition to?Lauttasaari?- a location that seemed like a vast ocean of space. It was so roomy that subletting crossed our minds!

But as fate would have it, our whirlwind of growth quickly caught up. Before we knew it, we had a 2nd Vertical machine and 2 new product photo machines from Orbitvu humming along in the backdrop. Our once seemingly infinite space became a?crowded?buzzing hive of creativity and innovation.

Expanding Horizons: More Room, More Creativity???

As the demand for our photography services grew and our team blossomed, it soon became clear that we were expanding at a pace that our existing space just couldn't keep up with! Excitement brewed in the studio as we sought a solution. And find one, we did. About a year ago, we happily acquired the 200m2 studio space upstairs.

This new addition didn't just mean more space; it meant more room for creativity, for pushing boundaries, for capturing beauty in its multifaceted form. It's here that our talented photographers' team has been offering their magic touch, continually gifting our clients with images that not only meet their vision but exceed it.

Now, as we look around our ever-growing studio, we can't help but smile at our early days in Telakkaranta and how far we've come. It's a testament to the famous saying that "big things often have small beginnings."???

More Than Just a Studio

Today?we?are a family of?15 people, stretched over two studio areas. We're now Finland's largest fashion photo studio! With 6 automated photography machines and an expansive conventional photography?studio, we've come a long way in the past 7 years and we couldn't have done it without every member of our brilliant team and all our wonderful?brand?partners.
