Official errors are becoming a growth industry!?

In the UK we are witnessing more and more ?official errors caused either by failure to follow procedures or lack of training for those on the frontline. Invariably those in power then attempt to cover up what are often appalling failures.?

Public enquiries are held late in the date producing mountains of recommendations that are either partly implemented or left to gather dust.?

Beware of the words “We will learn lessons from these failures”

That so often, it’s the media who cut through the deliberate guff, delays and fog surrounding people’s rights. The “WHICH” magazine (UK Consumer Association), Social Media and broadcasters like the BBC often cut quick to the chase raising visible campaigns on official failures and the remedial support for those who have suffered.?

BASICALLY:-

You cannot be charged for UK electricity or gas energy used more than 12 months ago if:-

• you have not had an accurate bill for it before, even though you asked for one
• you have not been informed about any charges due via a statement of account before
• your Direct Debit amount was previously set too low to cover any charges due

If your gas or electricity supplier believes you have not been accurately billed for energy you’ve used, they may send you a back bill. ?

But:-
