Seven Ways to Use Long Summer Evenings to Improve Your Sleep

Would you like to improve your sleep, easily and enjoy yourself at the same time?

Well, you can - easily!

Summer is a great time to start improving your sleep naturally.?You can use the longer evenings to get outside and do things you enjoy so you go to bed feeling content and relaxed.

  1. Sit in the garden on a warm evening. Listen to the sounds around you.?Put on a jumper, and if you need to, take a blanket and read outside.
  2. Plan a relaxing evening walk
  3. Call in at a local cafe or pub – but watch your caffeine and alcohol consumption. Caffeine stops you from sleeping and alcohol interferes with your sleep - often later in the night.?
  4. Go to a concert or a show - avoid intense stories or thrillers – opt for something light or funny
  5. Have a gentle run – remember not to tire yourself too much, as it can stop you from sleeping well.
  6. Read, instead of watching TV - amusing short stories are perfect for sending you to bed in a happy state
  7. Finish off with a warm relaxing bath before you go to bed.?Get in the habit of always singing in the bath or shower.


When we aren’t sleeping well, we worry about it.?

Worrying makes it even harder to sleep well.?So, use the summer evenings to get into a habit of doing something you enjoy and going to bed relaxed and happy – and sober!?
