Seven Types of Technology Tools to Enhance Your LinkedIn & Social Media

Want to add some pizzazz to your LinkedIn and Social Media? Check out some snazzy technology tools!

Although there are many options available, there are seven types of technology tools to enhance your Linkedin and social media shared below.?

If you are active on social media daily, or even weekly, chances are that you will be using these technology tools.

“It has become appallingly obvious that our technology has exceeded our humanity” (Unknown).

It’s like drinking from a fire hydrant with so much tech available.

We can learn something new every day, but we all have limited bandwidth with our work life and home life.?

In addition, we all learn in different ways. Howard Gardner developed the Theory of Multiple Intelligences, which includes 1) Bodily-Kinesthetic, 2) Interpersonal, 3) Intrapersonal, 4) Linguistic, 5) Logical-Mathematical, 6) Musical, 7) Naturalist, and 8) Visual-Spatial.?

Some examples of where we might learn include 1) in-person workshops, 2) reading printed documentation, 3) online webinar, workshop, video clip, or social audio room, 4) university classes, 5) independent trial and error, 6) instruction from a family member, and 7) instruction from friends and colleagues. There may be more ways, but these are some typical ways.?

Everyone reading this piece is at a different place with their technology skills. The levels could range from novice, emerging, experimental, transitional, proficient, to advanced.?

Therefore, some of what is shared below will be “Captain Obvious” for some and insightful or enlightening to others. There is no one size fits all, but I wanted to share some of my favorite tools and other platforms I am aware of that will help enhance your LinkedIn profile and social media.?

Yes, I know there are many other platforms not listed here. The information shared is just a starter with a few listicles of platforms to explore.?

GRAPHIC IMAGES FOR YOUR BANNERS, POSTS, ARTICLES, INFOGRAPHICS, AND/OR EVENTS

• Canva is something I use daily, and I have a Pro account, which they generously provide for free to 501(c)3 nonprofits and we get 10 team members!
• GoDaddy Studio (formerly known as Over) is a tool I used when it was called Over and before I started with Canva.
• Picktochart is a cool platform for infographics that I have used in the past.?
• Snappa is a tool I am aware of for graphics, but I have never used it.

IMAGES?

Get more tips! I typically use the images on Canva, but there are many other resources for some royalty-free images.

• PFPMaker is what I frequently use to make someone’s photo background match to our branding colors. You can choose your hex color and have some fun.

QR CODES?

• Canva has QR Codes, but I have not used them on this platform yet.
• QR Code Monkey is one that I have been using for years, and I love that I can change the hex color and include a logo or a picture.?

UNICODE?

• Unicode can make your verbiage bold, underlined, italicized, so read more in the tips.

WORD CLOUDS?

Get more tips!

• As noted in the article in the tips, there are several word cloud generators, but a favorite of mine is WordArt.
