The EU Commission has postponed the launch of the European Travel Information and Authorisation System (ETIAS) and Entry/Exit System (EES), originally set for November 10, 2024. Both are now expected to begin in 2025, though no confirmed date has yet been announced.

Starting December 9, 2024, The Netherlands will implement internal checks at its borders to tackle irregular migration and human trafficking. Planned to last until June 9, 2025, the controls may extend based on circumstances.

The UK minimum wage was updated on November 1st, 2024, with rates for April 2025 set at ￡12.21 per hour for those aged 21 and over and ￡10 per hour for 18 to 20-year-olds. Visa salary thresholds for April 2024 are ￡38,700 or more for Skilled Workers, ￡48,500 for Senior Specialists, ￡25,410 for Graduate Trainees, and ￡36,300 for Scale-up Workers.
