Changes in EU Expat Tax Regimes:

Several EU countries, such as Portugal and Italy, are revising their expat tax regimes, reducing tax benefits eligibility. The Portuguese Non-Habitual Resident regime is being altered, resulting in fewer qualifying individuals, while Italy's expat tax regime is changing with a more limited scope of application.

Since late 2023, the Portuguese Agency for Integration, Migration, and Asylum (AIMA) has revamped migrant reception from SEF (Immigration and Borders Service).
