Setting Your Rate Based on Being More Expensive Than Some, But Cheaper Than Others is the Lazieste Pricing Strategy I Know

Both you and your business have needs. You need to feel proud of what you’re doing. You need to have a sense of purpose, to feel you’re contributing to something and being of service. You have many needs; your business only has one. It’s not burdened by the need to feel satisfied, loved or any other emotion. To survive and thrive it has one need; to make money.

Too many business owners suffocate or burden their business with their own values. Your business is its own entity, it has its own needs and its own rights; the right to survive and the right to thrive. Money may not be the most important thing in your life, but it’s the only thing that matters to your business. Money is the fuel that feeds your business and enables it to grow. It’s good to place your values around your business and to build it as a force for good but to ignore its only need, the need to be financially strong and successful, is negligent.

Understanding that you and your business each have needs, and that it’s important for those needs to be met, puts the onus on you to make sure that your business delivers on your needs while you take care of its needs.

In fact, take care of your business’s single need to be financially successful and it will take care of all of yours.

You can’t get fairer than that.
