Setting the vision for the next 3 years for Tusla

Minister O’Gorman has published his Performance Framework 2024-2026 for Tusla, the Child and Family Agency. The Performance Framework is a comprehensive document which provides Tusla with policy guidance, direction and prioritisation parameters for the coming three-year period.

The framework sets out the Minister’s core priorities for Tusla for the next three years, which are:

1. Foster Care and Supports
2. Social Work Staffing levels appropriate to operational needs
3. Family Support package?

·???????? Expansion of Family Resource Centre programme

4. Alternative Care package

5. International Protection including Ukraine

·???????? Delivery of Tusla’s internal reform programme

7. Other Priorities, including Residual work in 2024

The Minister has also published his Performance Statement 2024 , which correlates with the over-arching three year plan set out by the Performance Framework, providing Tusla with specific policy guidance, direction, prioritisation and resource parameters in respect of 2024.

Tusla subsequently prepared its Corporate Plan 2024-2026 and Business Plan 2024 in accordance with the Minister’s framework and statement, and both were published on 3 April 2024.
