WhatsApp Business Platform (API): Updates to Rate Cards
Utility Rates – Effective August 1, 2024
Starting August 1, 2024, Meta is reducing the rates for utility messages to remain competitive with other communication channels. This rate reduction aims to encourage businesses to utilize WhatsApp for the entire post-purchase customer journey.
Marketing Rates – Effective October 1, 2024
From October 1, 2024, Meta will be updating marketing rates in select markets. These rates may be adjusted more frequently, up to quarterly, to better reflect the value delivered by marketing messages. According to Meta’s Terms of Service, businesses will receive at least a 30-day notice before any rate changes take effect.
