Setting Priorities in Challenging Times

A mentor of mine once told me to stay as close to the money as possible when setting priorities and managing time.
Based on her advice I wrote a checklist:
- Don't try and find new customers until you have optimised all of the assets that will make that more successful. Your outreach efforts will reap better rewards if your messaging, website and social channels talk about what makes your offering remarkable.
- Don't optimise your marketing assets and "sharpen the axe" unless you have done everything you can to close live opportunities where there is a recognised need and an existing relationship.
- Don't try and close new opportunities until you have done everything possible to make live projects as successful as possible. This is where great case studies and referrals come from.
In summary:
- Keep it
- Close it
- Improve it
- Find it
