Setting Coordinates after completing the Revit Project ??
Problem:- I have one base file in which I need to link 5 Models. But out of those 5 models, 2 models are not modeled using proper coordinates. So, When I am trying to link them in base file, they are not coming in place where it is needed. Client given me Excel in which coordinate values for all 5 models are available. So, what can I do now????
Let's start the work now. ???
Below is the screenshot of the base file. So, in which I need to insert Building B2 & B4 at right place (by Shared Coordinate option).
?But when I tried to insert buildings with share by coordinate, then it is showing result like below.?
I have the values of coordinates from excel which is provided in input.?

Let's start correcting coordinates for building B2. Open file B2.?
From the Visual Graphics, ON the project and survey base point. Now, you can see the values of Project and Survey base point values. In my case those values are 0,0,0.?
So, as we see, the bottom left coordinate of B2 building is N –10177, E –6753.?
Click on survey point, unclip it and then put values of N and E as N –10177, E –6753.Once done, then clip the survey point. Give same values to Project Base point.?Now unclip the Survey point again and give value as 0,0,0 and again clip it.Now do the same for the project base point.?
Now save the file and open the base model and then try to link B2 model with share by coordinate. ?
The model is at the correct location now. Use the same process for B4 Building.
Note:- The above process is differ according to the project and requirement of the project. I am just sharing my project experience. Let me know if there is any addition or any useful document on the same. ??
