Set/Studio teacher or actor?
Good morning all,
Just wanted to update everyone on my quest to becoming a set/Studio teacher. But a little of my background may be good before I get into that for everyone. I have a BA in History and Master of education. I have worked as a public/ private school teacher and now do narrations for books. I am certified in FL, GA, and CAl, to work in a public or private school along with AP US History college board certification. I am trying to move to be set teacher and then a Studio teacher. For those new to my network, a set/ studio teacher is a teaches that on a set of a movie or TV to students under 18. I am working on the Studio teacher certification, I was surprised that did not quilty for the certification after I applied. I was told I need to be ESOL (English as a second language.) and a test prove I could basic reading, writing, and math. So I took the ESOL test here in GA, a two-part almost 4 hours test, about a month ago and passed, the passing score is a 250 with a max of 300. I got a 275 and 269, smile. Now the second text, I did take a college entrance test to the JR college I started at, but alas that did not quality. So this weekend I will be taking the SAT, yes even with all the above I still have to take a test make for high school students. Wish me luck and will update when I time on the next parts. I can already be a set here in GA, so if you know anyone in this area I would love to be introduced. I do need to join the local 479, that a union here in GA. I did not want to write to long an article, so I will explain the actor part in the next write up. Thanks again and have a great month
