Setbacks Aren’t the End... They’re the Start of a Better Path

Setbacks can feel terrible when they show up.

Whether it's a prospect that decides to go with someone else..

An unexpected bill blindsides you..

Or something takes twice as long and costs more than you thought it would.

You might start to question everything:

"Why does this keep happening?"

"Is this not for me?"

"What am I missing?"

It’s frustrating.

But here’s what I’ve learned.

Setbacks aren’t punishment.

They’re gifts.

They’re God’s way of saying:

“Hey, you’re close. But there’s a better way.”

Maybe that thing you’ve been doing was going to hold you back.

Maybe your lucky streak was about to run out.

Or maybe the path you were on wasn’t as fruitful as you thought.

Setbacks are course corrections...

They’re divine nudges..

They’re showing you where to tweak, adjust, and improve.

Since I started reframing setbacks this way, everything has shifted.

I don’t see them as failures anymore..

Most of the time anyway ??

I see them as opportunities.

And wouldn't you know..

The adjustments I’ve made because of those “setbacks” have taken me further, faster, than I ever could’ve gone otherwise.

So the next time life throws you a curveball, stop.

Ask yourself:

What’s the gift in this?

What’s the tweak I need to make?

How is this setting me up for something better?

Because when you can look at setbacks this way, they stop being the thing that holds you back...

And start being the thing that propels you forward.
