Set your Gaze.
“Let your eyes look directly forward, and your gaze be straight before you. Ponder the path of your feet; then all your ways will be sure.” (Proverbs 4:25-26)
Our world today is abundant with information and all sorts of distractions. The notifications on your phone, the unsolicited emails, the ads following you everywhere you go, the billboards calling out to your attention as you drive round a city and the inner conversations in your head and mind. This constant experience can make us lose focus on what really matters.?
I have experienced distractions. Recently, I started to practice mindful reflections to ask myself destiny questions such as;
It is so important that we have a gaze, a target in life. It is not wise to coast through life without a sense of direction. It is dangerous to go through life without a guiding focus on what it is you want to do with your life and what you want to be known and remembered for afterwards. It is most crucial to re-calibrate, re-align and re-focus on your gaze.?
Your gaze has to come from within yourself. Assume that you’re the only human on earth, close your eyes and imagine what you want to do with your life and who you want to be in this world. Imagine without limits and take back your focus.
God created each of us with abundant gifts to serve our world. Adopt the mindset that you were created for others and you are important in our world. Take out a notebook and write in clear terms what you envision for your future in five years to ten years and more. Remember, write without limitation but with imagination.?
Who could you be if you dared in faith? Who could you be if you let go of shame, fear of failure and unhealthy comparison? Who could you be if you were more patient and positive in the present?
Time is on your side when you have a gaze. Take time to find your gaze in this season. Set goals that are of value to you. Avoid rush and starve desperation. Focus on your gaze. Become all God has designed you to be. Cheers to your greatness! Amen!!
The Holy spirit guides us in all truth. He will show you the way.
