Set up a scheduled export of SharePoint lists and libraries to SQL Server Tables
AxioWorks SQList allows reporting and BI professionals to expose SharePoint lists and libraries as normalised SQL Server database tables.
SharePoint provides us with a great way of capturing and managing data which has seen a massive increase in business data stored in SharePoint On-Premises and SharePoint Online lists and libraries. Organisations need to be able to query and report against this data quickly. SharePoint doesn’t make this easy for us!
SQList allows us to perform complex, up to the second SQL queries against our SharePoint data whether it be in an on-prem SharePoint farm or the Office365 cloud. It can even allow us to do complex SQL aggregations in hybrid scenarios where some data lives in the Office365 and some in SharePoint On-Prem
As of SQList 5.2 Professional Plus, it is now possible to run SQList synchronisations on demand, rather than as a service that continually checks for changes. This is useful when you do not need to have changes in SharePoint immediately replicated to SQL server, but rather at scheduled intervals (e.g. once a day).
SQList can now run as a console application so that it can be executed in a command prompt window, a batch file, or as a scheduled job (e.g. using Windows task scheduler). Once you have used the SQList manager to configure your replication, do not start the windows service and instead open a command prompt and execute SQList as follows:
