We're one week into the 2024 Summer Olympics, and there have been enough headlines to fill whole news feeds 10-times over with triumph , determination and controversy . Where we're paying particular attention is how brands are using the global stage to impart meaningful engagement and purposeful storytelling, like our client work with Alibaba Cloud . We're on the ground in Paris and love seeing all the experiential activity and inclusive design throughout the competition.
2. 2024 ESPORTS WORLD CUP. Gaming the excitement.
Not as prominent as the Olympics, but just as important is the inaugural Saudi Arabia-hosted 2024 Esports World Cup. Viewership and in-person attendance has blown away expectations , a milestone for the soaring popularity of esports and crowd-favorite franchises like PUBG: Battlegrounds, Apex Legends, Call of Duty, Street Fighter and FC24. And the global fervor for our favorite gaming franchises and league competitions is only growing. The Esports World Cup continues through August 25, wherever you watch your favorite streams.
3. PICKLEBALL. A new way to network.
Time to put away the 9 iron and reach for your paddle. Pickle ball is reaching peak social status dominating suburban communities, entertainment complexes, rec centers and retail remodels , with new establishments cropping up every month . Hot on the tail of the fastest growing US sport are all the ways the game is bringing people together and rolling out experiences in unexpected ways . It's also spinning off fresh opportunities for brand partnerships .
