How to Actually Track WIOA Co-Enrollments: Using Better Data to Drive Workforce Equity
WIOA co-enrollments are critical for demonstrating WIOA compliance and helping connect participants with the programs and supports they need to succeed. But coordinating and managing co-enrollments (not to mention reporting them accurately) is notoriously challenging. A 2022 Government Accountability Office (GAO) report found that up to 67% of participants lacked co-enrollment data due to heavy reliance on self-reported information and limited data-sharing among programs. Check out our latest blog as we dig into the systemic issues preventing successful co-enrollments, tracking, and reporting. More importantly, we'll share five strategies that organizations and governments can leverage to improve cross-organizational collaboration and boost WIOA co-enrollments.

DEIA in WIOA: 3 Strategies for Service Providers in 2025
According to the Department of Labor, "WIOA is landmark legislation that is designed to strengthen and improve our nation's public workforce system and help get Americans, including youth and those with significant barriers to employment, into high-quality jobs and careers and help employers hire and retain skilled workers." WorkforceGPS is sponsored by the Employment and Training Administration of the U.S. Department of Labor and provides training and resources for workforce professionals. In a recently updated post titled "DEIA 101: Embedding DEIA into Your Workforce Practices", they note that "Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility (DEIA) topics should be at the forefront of workforce conversations in the current climate." In this article, we discuss DEIA within the workforce context, the importance of DEIA in 2025, and specific ways that WIOA service providers can prioritize DEIA in their organizations and communities.
New Data: What State Workforce CIOs Are Prioritizing in 2025
State Workforce Agencies are at the forefront of supporting employment, training, and unemployment services across the United States. To address shifting demands and emerging challenges, the National Association of State Workforce Agencies Technology Committee has released its?annual report outlining the top priorities and initiatives for 2024-2025. Among the findings, a notable emphasis on process automation and modernization reflects the sector’s focus on creating more efficient and accessible systems for service delivery.
