Serving our customers in a dynamic marketplace: Looking ahead to 2023

The end of every year is a good time to take the pulse of the progress we’ve made, and what we plan to do based on learnings and how our business adapted to challenges. To me, a review of 2022 provided evidence that we properly adjusted our course based on industry dynamics and marketplace demands as we continue growing as a company. Corteva Agriscience has also made important strides in research and development that enable us to confidently take on future challenges, together with farmers around the world.

A quick scan of daily headlines shows that the “new normal” brought on by the pandemic is one where turbulence is expected, and businesses must either anticipate these bumps or quickly adapt their plans in the face of new information. It’s hard to make forecasts – but there are things we rely on because our company is grounded in principles upon which our customers can also rely.

This year, Corteva celebrated its third full year of operations. Although we’re still a new company, our collective expertise and strength make us a much more mature company. We advance our industry through continued technological innovations and a growth strategy focusing on products, services and markets where demand and priorities align best with the value we bring to customers.?

This is the year Corteva has really come into its own – we are seeing real progress as we continue to?build upon a century of innovation to provide better products and services,?leverage our science across several seed brands while maintaining strong local ties between seed experts and farmers?and?advance methods by which even more farmers have access to our technologies. And with our?recent acquisition of Stoller Group, one of the largest independent Biologicals companies in the industry, we have reinforced our commitment to providing farmers with tools that complement evolving farming practices.?

The topics I’ve written about in 2022 have focused on how Corteva commits to serving customers wherever they are. Our core values, matched with the deep expertise we offer farmers as they make choices on seed, crop protection and digital services, are key differentiators in the agriculture industry.?

My posts about route-to-market strategies are a peek into how we address our customers’ unique needs and wants, bringing innovations to farmers while also adjusting for changing consumer preferences that ultimately drive change for ag.

In 2023, my posts will focus on what we’re doing to maintain strong connections to farmers – providing them the products, tools and services that help them run even more efficient, strategic operations focused on growth.

In 2022 I was most excited and thankful to get back face to face with coworkers and customers around the globe. In 2023, success for me will be helping to ensure we are the easiest company to do business with and our sales teams are best prepared and positioned to bring new products to market faster, so farmers can benefit sooner from the value they bring. Exciting times.
